Grade 12 One Semester
This collaborative, inquiry-based course challenges you to identify an authentic topic of interest and investigate it.
You will connect with classmates, teachers and community members as a part of the process of creating a presentation for a professional audience.
Students will have the opportunity to research and produce a quality presentation or product in a flexible, blended learning environment.
Grade 11-12. Weighted grade.
AP French focuses on expanding the four communication skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing by exploring a variety of contemporary and classic topics utilizing authentic resources. Grammar and structure are also reviewed. The six overarching themes from the College Board are addressed in a variety of units. A selection of activities will be required during the summer preceding the course. Students who successfully complete this course and the AP French Language examination may receive college credit and/or higher placement in college.

Honors French 4 focuses on expanding the four communication skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The students enrich their vocabulary through a variety of media and cultural units utilizing authentic resources. The class is facilitated primarily in French.

AP U.S. Government and Politics is an introductory college-level course in U.S. government and politics. Students cultivate their understanding of U.S. government and politics through analysis of data and text-based sources as they explore topics like constitutionalism, liberty and order, civic participation in a representative democracy, competing policy-making interests, and methods of political analysis. This course satisfies federal, state mandates, including Civics Education and district graduation requirements.
Grade 11-12. One semester.
This course is a combination of culinary labs and classroom experiences. Through an application process, students will be selected to collaboratively partner with students with a disability to develop skills related to food preparation, nutrition, lesson planning, and independent living. All students will have the opportunity to develop recipe reading skills, prepare a variety of recipes, apply safety and sanitation procedures, execute proper culinary techniques and etiquette.
A lab fee will be charged.

Grades 11-12
American Sign Language (ASL) 4 strengthens the interpretive, interpersonal and presentational communication skills of students, by focusing on the implementation of higher-level vocabulary and grammatical structures. Performance-based activities enable the students to express themselves in practiced and new situations with greater independence. Films, readings, and other authentic resources are used to enhance understanding of Deaf culture. Communication in the classroom (teacher-student and/or student-student) takes place exclusively in ASL.
Grade 9-12
Designed to provide students with a basic knowledge in electronic music production, live sound, and recording. Students will explore sound production, music theory, studio recording techniques and basic musical keyboarding skills in a creative environment using a web-based Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). Every unit in the class is broken down into projects where students will learn to create with a given set of tools, and the learning takes place both individually and in collaboration with others.

Grade 10-12
This laboratory science course focuses on the plant kingdom, with topics ranging from sub-cellular processes to ecological roles. Content includes: Plant Anatomy and Physiology, Plant Identification, Ethnobotany (Plant Uses), Greenhouse Crop Production & Growing Skills, Plant Propagation, Landscape Design & Management, Aquaponic & Hydroponic Growing, and Sustainability. Students who successfully complete Botany will have entry level greenhouse skills and knowledge to pursue any plant or ecology based fields of study, careers, and entry level jobs.
Grade 9-12.
The workforce of tomorrow will ask students to continually realign their skillset to the ever changing technological demands. The certification course provides students an opportunity to start building their portfolio of skills and establish a pathway to future skill sets demanded by employers now and in the future. Students will have the opportunity to earn certifications in Adobe, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Technology Associate.
