Grade 9-12. One semester.

Engineering Technology 1 is an introductory course that provides general information about the field of engineering.  Students contribute to collaborative engineering teams by developing independent skill and expertise through hands-on experiences and modular technology units.  Focus is placed on becoming familiar with the design process and developing solutions to real-world problems.  Throughout the course, students acquire skills in communication, organization, and teamwork, and are exposed to potential career paths in the manufacturing and engineering industry.  A lab fee will be charges.
