Emphasis for this course is on physical fitness, fundamental skills and rules of each activity, and knowledge of the importance of fitness for life. This course will be offered in a fixed-flexible blended learning format. On days that students are not meeting with the teacher, they will be required to monitor personal daily physical activity via technologies which may include heart rate monitors, online classroom platforms, and video. Students will also participate in online discussions and homework provided by the teacher. A successful student will be self motivated, organized, and an independent learner that thrives on rigorous work.
